Is Melpa not working right now?

Hello I just had to remove org and org-roam because I had been getting a \`Invalid function: org-assert-version\` error, so I reinstalled org and when I tried to reinstall org-roam I receive a "make client process failed: Network is unreachable, :name, [melpa.org](https://melpa.org) ..." error, though when I use M-x *package*\-*list*\-*packages* it does list melpa packages to install, so?
