> However, one of my personal favorites is the new command `Info-goto-node-web`, bound to `G` in Info mode. You're welcome. I added that to vanilla Emacs from [Info+](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/InfoPlus) ([`info+.el`](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/download/info%2b.el)). (It's been in Info+ for nearly a decade.)

> Either you just throw decades of collective experience out of the window or you can borrow/imitate things Emacs and/or Vim did, perhaps in a creative way, but still – use the wisdom of ages collected in Emacs devs’ beards;-)! Yeah, do not miss out on such divine wisdom as counting paragraphs, not exposing user passwords, and not having bugs due to spaces in file names. That'll show those Microsoft junkies! (Sorry I had to! All in good fun, I know there is much that Emacs has to offer which is why I use it daily.)

One of my favorite tiny new things that I’ve found is the addition of `split-root-window-below` and `split-root-window-right` (bound to `C-x w 2` and `C-x w 3` by default). I really frequently find myself wanting to add a full-height vertical window to a frame that already has a horizontal split. I had my own function for it that I’d defined, but it makes a lot of sense to have something built in for such a common action.

Bloody good and thanks a bunch to the article writer. These are kind of small and important changes that make life easy for ordinary mortals like me. Importantly, it is devoid of all the hip-hoop-hoopla of big things.
