So i have this issue when i start gdb like this M-x: gdb -i=mi ./main , it gives me the following prompt:
This GDB supports auto-downloading debuginfo from the following URLs:
Enable debuginfod for this session? (y or \[n\]) :
whether i press y or n <return> , it doesnt do anything but gives me the same prompt over and over again. How do i solve this?
This is the screenshot of the issue:

Click in the bottom line of the screen where the prompt is. The yes-or-no isn't active.

Same problem, no solution, but using Mx gud-gdb works for me.

I haven't used gdb in emacs, but usually when I have some similar issue I do `C-h f` (help: function) and try to look at the elisp code of the function and see if I can figure out what what is happening in the background.
There is also the EOF-error in your init file I would fix first, is it related?

Create a file `~/.gdbinit` (i.e. `.gdbinit` in your HOME directory), if you don't have one already, and place this one line there:
set debuginfod enabled off

i have another issue now: i cannot start graphical TUI in emacs
[https://ibb.co/Fn0JNtS](https://ibb.co/Fn0JNtS) this is the issue
matthew9636 · 2022-12-19 23:46
basically, when i run layout src, it cant do it for some reason :/
eli-zaretskii · 2022-12-20 15:25
Why do you want TUI in Emacs. Emacs has its own UI for GDB, try
M-x gdb-many-windows RET
eli-zaretskii · 2022-12-20 15:26
See above. With `gdb-many-windows` you will get separate windows for source, breakpoints, backtrace, local variables, etc.
matthew9636 · 2022-12-20 15:52
i dont have gdb-many-windows option for some reason when im in M-x
eli-zaretskii · 2022-12-20 17:10
After you invoke `M-x gdb`? Which version of Emacs are you using?
matthew9636 · 2022-12-21 01:16
Im currently using unmodified spacemacs version of emacs :)
eli-zaretskii · 2022-12-21 13:09
Derived from which Emacs version? What does `M-x emacs-version` produce?
matthew9636 · 2022-12-22 13:50
GNU Emacs 28.2 (build 1, x86\_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.34, cairo version 1.17.6) of 2022-09-12
Mark set \[2 times\]

Then `gdb-many-windows` should be available once you invoke `M-x gdb`.
It should also be available from the menu bar, under "Gud"=>"GDB-MI"=>"Display Other Windows".
