How do you align the color theme of the title bar, menu bar, tab bar, tool bar, and scroll bar with the color theme of everything else in Emacs?

I have currently set the color theme on my GNU Emacs distribution to be the spacemacs-dark. However the title bar, menu bar, tab bar, tool bar, and scroll bar still appear as this bland, basic, off white color. Now I don't actually use most of the features I just mentioned, but I would like to have them available in the case that it became necessary for whatever reason. So my question is, how can I "extend" the spacemacs-dark color theme to these other features on Emacs? Note: I use Emacs on Windows, if that makes any difference.

The point is that these things are controlled by your desktop environment rather than emacs.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that I set Windows to dark mode. I mean my web browser is completely dark as is my pdf reader, my file manager, etc. So I feel like there is some Emacs setting that I should be able to change. I mean, the menu bar, scroll bar, tab bar, title bar, and tool bar are part of Emacs, right? They are not part of Microsoft Windows really.

I guess you are correct. But then the question is why is Notepad++, which I installed on my computer a long time ago, completely dark whereas Emacs is not. I did set Windows to Dark mode and both Emacs and Notepad++ are free and open source software, so I can't say that Windows is favoring proprietary software in this scenario...

A lot of applications have a setting to be light, dark or respect the OS setting. I’d not expect the default to be follow the OS; most seemed to have to do work to support this. Could be wrong, but absent a better explanation that would be my guess.

Not sure how well it works on Windows, but I mostly just shut things off that look gnarly. Something like [this](https://github.com/smashedtoatoms/emacs.d/blob/83f2b808e9696e85d43ea4bed4a3541529a2e339/init.el#L88) might work

Notepad++ is targeted at the Windows operating system. Emacs runs on Linux, Mac, BSD, other Unix-like OSes, and Windows. Each of these has their own (and sometimes multiple) windowing environments. The reason Notepad++ might support more Windows-specific features is that it focuses on developing for the Windows platform, whereas Emacs supports multiple platforms. It's been pointed out that Emacs uses the GTK toolkit to support Windows. If that's the case, you might have better luck looking into how to get GTK to better match Windows settings, and whether that's possible in this case.

I guess that should be what I look into. Though I thought GTK was a Linux only thing.
