Disclosure: I posted the club link, but can also vouch for the book. I’ve read it and it’s great. Search this subreddit. You’ll find other people recommending.

ps. u/sarmac maybe join the book club? They’re are going over the book fairly thoroughly and get a feel for the book?

I bought it about a year ago, been using Emacs since end of 2016, and I wish I had it around 6 months into my journey. Lots of little things that I figured out over time are explained with detail in the book. AND even now I learned quite a bit from it. 10/10 recommend. Also the Reading Guide for new users in Mickey's page is really good if you are starting.

Joined the first two meet-ups and I highly recommend it. The host really knows how to run these meetings. He is doing a great job. The pace is good. I like the part where they share their own comments and insights on top of what's in the book. Easily the best thing I have found on the internet.
