WSL2 Ubuntu can't get a SYM LINK working to my emacs-setup github. (not high, losing it)

(EDIT) Answer for future generations: **"ln -s emacs-setup .emacs.d" is the command, but make sure .emacs.d doesn't exit when you do it.** \------ TL;DR: ln -s emacs-setup .emacs.d creates an .emacs.d dir with a link underneath to emacs-setup, where emacs-setup is the repo name. Emacs-setup is my github (on my other box it lives in my emacs.d). So this second machine is the first time I'm dealing with pulling it down. Conventional wisdom is **"just sym link .emacs.d to your repo"** \-- but no snippets I find work to do that. (On WSL2 ubuntu just installed). I'd settle for pulling my repo contents straight to .emacs.d (how its setup on my other machine) -- but sym link should be pretty easy. I'm hoping it's a dumb mistake and not an issue with wsl2. Thanks for any help or snippets to cut/paste and then I'll give results.

1) If you already have a folder called .emacs.d, then doing "ln -s emacs-setup .emacs.d" will create an emacs-setup link inside that folder. 2) If such a folder doesn't exist, then "ln -s emacs-setup .emacs.d" will create a link called .emacs.d in the current folder pointing to emacs-setup. So, I'm guessing you got (1) but wanted (2), and should remove the .emacs.d folder and try again.

Wow, wow. I deleted .emacs.d so many times (and checked), but I guess not with that specific try -- or I was high. But thanks so much, you da man. I'll add to my beginner org config I'm putting together. Thanks!!!
