reddit / emacs

I would like to use python-shell-send-region, but my shell is not so simple since I run django-admin shell in docker. I can do this in the emacs shell; but is it possible to send my selected region to the emacs shell instead of just to the inferior Python process?

Also, I'm having the issue with the emacs shell (not eshell; `M-x shell` which opens a bash terminal) that all of my functions which are defined and `export`ed in my `~/.bash_aliases` are loaded correctly, but the aliases themselves from that same file are not defined. Any hints? I am using Doom emacs in case it matters.
