Can I refer to a header in another org file?

Is it possible to refer to, or link to, a header in another org file? I'm thinking I may have to read up on org-agenda. I keep a personal journal, and at this point, it's almost a thousand small markdown files no larger than 4k - one for (almost) each day. I refer to each one just simply by linking to the <date>.md and then make my journal entry there. On the upside, I can check what I did this day a year, two year, etc ago by doing "ls *-12-06.md".. but on the other hand, it's really inefficient. I was wondering if it would be more efficient to make an org file for each year and then have header lines for each day, plus additional ones for each topic underneath. I'd like to be able to link from another org file (say a project, or a movie review) and put a date on there and be able to pull up what I was doing that day. Any strategies for doing that in org/emacs?

Yes. You can create a header and add a `org-time-stamp`. For links you can use `org-store-link` and `org-insert-link`. If you want backlinks as well you can check `org-super-links` external package. I do this on a week basis, every day seems too much for me.

Thank you! I do it nearly daily as part of my mental health strategy.
