Do you remember the post of the person that wrapped common shell commands with transient?

Or something like that. Maybe it didn't include transient, but it did feature quite a novel idea of running frequently used shell commands with varying parameters. If you don't remember it but have a similar workflow yourself, please share it! I'm trying to get inspired :) EDIT: I think I came up with something even better! Since I only use the program in one project, I created a minor mode for it and made it automatically enabled on all TS files in this project via `.dir-locals.el`: ((typescript-mode . ((eval . (my/pulumi-mode t))))) Then I added local bindings for the two commands I most frequently use: (defun my/pulumi-cmd (cmd) (interactive) (with-current-buffer "*vterm pulumi-fiddling*" (vterm-insert cmd) (vterm-send-return))) (defvar my/pulumi-mode-map (make-sparse-keymap)) (define-minor-mode my/pulumi-mode "its only purpose is sending `pulumi up' to vterm" :keymap my/pulumi-mode-map) (map! :map my/pulumi-mode-map :localleader :desc "up" "u" (cmd! (my/pulumi-cmd "pulumi up -y && notify")) :desc "preview" "p" (cmd! (my/pulumi-cmd "pulumi preview")))

Wouldn't it be great if there is a package that can parse common --help formats and generate these automatically? And if the parser is not good enough you can teach it which flags there are

I think pcmpl-args.el does part of this.
