Paredit deleting ()

I feel pretty dumb asking this, let alone how I’ll feel reading the answer, I used paredit. sometimes I’m editing code and the parenthesis have become a bit of a mess. Sometimes I want to delete them. Paraedit won’t let me, so occasionally I need to turn the mode and delete a parenthesis or two then re-enable it. This does not seem like the way. How should it be used and if this is a feature is there another package which might be worth trying?

Move your cursor "|" to the front of the paren pair |(func 4 5 3) Press C-k

This deletes everything inside the parens too. I believe you want M-r (paredit-raise-sexp) which will keep the expression and remove just the parens

Thanks. Very simple. That’s generally cut line, interesting.
