Any way to see which minor modes are using the most resources?

I'm using emacs like a word processor, and it suddenly lags whenever I attempt to delete multiple charterers in a row while in insert mode. I assume one of the minor-modes is causing the lag, but is there any way to know which one? Ultimately, I want my entire system to be emacs, and I would like to be able to open htop in a buffer. thanks
