Problem: kill-sentence deletes whole paragraph

I want to be able to delete a sentence (from first letter to period) using M-k (or M-x kill-sentence). The problem: when I use M-k (or M-x kill-sentence), it deletes the entire paragraph. To put it another way, on my Emacs (28.1) M-x kill-sentence does the same exact thing as M-x kill-paragraph. Do you know how to remedy this so I can use M-k and become a sentence assassin? 🐂 PS- I have only been regularly/ daily using (and loving) Emacs for about a year. I expand my shortcuts knowledge every so often. Wanting to add M-k to my arsenal so just now realizing it doesn't work.

The correct solution: double-space after your sentences. The coward's way out: `(setq sentence-end-double-space nil)`

Thank you! So great. Also, much appreciation for offering the workaround. It saves me the extra post to r/cowards .
