Hi Everyone,
Where is the best place to change the color of the message first given when you attempt to exit an edit with changes in place, but you don't want to save the changes. Basically you just hit c-x c-v.?.
In my instance, that text is dark blue on a black background and it is hard to read.
And to those who would RTFM - where is the FM is should have read to find this out myself? I looked around and did not see the answer.

I found Customize-themes to pick a different theme - I like one of those a little better but now my yellow on black background is low-intensity white-on-black, but I can read the exit message I mentioned in my post. Moving along - I guess I will really need to create my own theme?

Check out M-x customize-face and M-x describe-face.
The specific face you're asking about looks to be `minibuffer-prompt`.

Thanks!

Ok, this looks fun... I now have a better color for my editing buffers and I seem to retain the color for the exit prompt I was talking about. I will have to see if some of the other items will color up other parts of my buffers/headers(? The line that shows the file name and location in the file and other info)

Check the variable `frame-background-mode` to make sure your terminal environment is what Emacs expects. This variable should either be the symbol `dark` or `light`; set it the appropriate value in your init script and the theme colors will generally follow
