I am using chemacs2 in order to test other emacs flavours and learn from them.
My main emacs is a nano-emacs based on the config of u/Nicolas-Rougier.
But while the loading of my emacs works without any problem when located under .emacs.d, if I use chemacs2 and relocate my default config under .emacs.nano, I get the error that the library ```guess-language``` is missing, when starting emacs with ```emacs --with-profile default```.
Why does this problem only come with chemacs2?
I am using straight as the package manager.
Has anyone else also similar problems with chemacs2?

Is there a hardcoded relative url for a resource in your config or inside a package you use. That is usually the problem

Not to poach, but you might try this alternative: https://github.com/alphapapa/with-emacs.sh

Starting from Emacs 29, you will have the option `--init-directory` at Emacs startup, so you will be able to go without such libraries. I know it does not answer your question, just thought you might want to know.

I am not that proficient in emacs to test emacs 29 now, but thanks for the info.

If you empty the directories under `~/.emacs.d/eln-cache` does the problem go away?
Although each profile has its own `~/.emacs.d` I suspect that some of the settings get carried from the `eln.cache` which is invariably activated by Chemacs starting in the main `~/.emacs.d` before the `~/.emacs.d` of the profile takes over.
It comes up in the Doom issues, so I suspect that the still some flaws in isolation of compiled code, whether byte, native or both.
I plan to test Emacs 29 with separate `--init-directory` settings to check if the problems I've been having will go away.
