Mac OS: list file tags in dired

Mac OS supports adding tags to files. Is there a way to list these external file tags in dired or via some other Emacs package? [View Poll](https://www.reddit.com/poll/yetflk)

Ext4, and some other file systems also supports tags, but I am not sure how popular is the use. > Is there a way to list these external file tags in dired Emacs uses an external ls program to list files, and if not found, a built-in ls-lisp.el. I don't know what is default on macOS, but you will need: 1. ls program that can list tags 2. some connection in Emacs to read and display those tags, either in some overlay, in a side buffer, maybe you could hoover over with a mouse and see them in a tooltip, or I don't know. Emacs has 'directory-files-and-attributes' function, but I don't know if it reads tags too. You will have to check it yourself. > some other Emacs package I don't know if there are packages that do this. I personally have never owned a Mac, so I can't help you, but I am sure there is people here who can.

Not an answer to your question, but maybe helpful/FYI: If you use library [Bookmark+](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/BookmarkPlus) then you can tag files. See [Autofile Bookmarks](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/BookmarkPlus#AutofileBookmarks) and [Bookmark Tags](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/BookmarkPlus#BookmarkTags). This feature is in Emacs itself, so you can use it on any platform that supports Emacs.
