Toggle debug on quit and debug on error options and see the stacktrace.

Might be unrelated, but I just yesterday had a forum user struggling with the new preview on ventura ditching PostScript. Maybe that's somehow related?

Apple doesn't provide a way to downgrade the OS version. I do not dare to upgrade my system to do the test...

possible because, in any case, every now and then on mac OS they make shit about those who break packages
NFVblog · 2022-10-28 09:22
look, I got an idea, I try to recompile the packages and see if it works out

This is the sole thing keeping me from upgrading. Cannot have any part of my emacs stop working. I'm toast if that happens.

I agree, however, I discovered one of the causes, in practice at the moment the poppler library has not yet been properly updated for the new xcode and, moreover, pdf-tools still needs to be revised
FreeAd7233 · 2022-10-29 09:37
Did you figure out the proper causes? Is it a issue with poppler or pdf-tools itself? And if you have the issue, try submit an issue to github rather than ask there at Reddit

I discovered it is not the fault of mac os, but of poppler that has changed some things and therefore until they update the extension it will not be possible to use it as much as I was able to stem the crush with a partial compilation, because it does not work anyway but at least the program is stable
