How can I get Emacs to stop asking me if I want to continue a macro?

I used to be able to save a quick macro then `C-x e` `e` `e` `e` `e` to do it multiple times, now I have to press `y` before every `e` to repeat it, it asks "Proceed with macro?". I think this is a new feature because it doesn't happen on my desktop, which is running a slightly older version. How can I go back to the old behavior?

What versions of Emacs are you running? I'm on 28.2 and don't experience this behaviour. Quick sanity check, does this still happen in `Emacs -Q`. If not, then it's likely a misconfiguration. Is this the same dialaogue option provided by `kbd-macro-query`? Is there a chance you have something in `kbd-macro-termination-hook` that you shouldn't? Sorry I can't be of more help!

I'm on 28.1, my laptop died after I made this post and it hasn't happened since starting a new Emacs session strangely, same thing with `emacs -Q`. `kbd-macro-query` is not what I was seeing, and `kbd-macro-termination-hook` is nil; it must have been a ghost in my computer.
