Hi everyone,
I am building my emacs on the bas of the [nano-emacs](https://github.com/rougier/nano-emacs) of Nicolas Rougier. I am testing several of his own config features, and I get this error.
With debug init, I get this:
```Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-function org-make-tags-matcher) (org-make-tags-matcher "*") (cdr (org-make-tags-matcher "*")) (defvar my/org-imenu-filter-function (cdr (org-make-tags-matcher "*")) "Filter function to decide if a headline is kept") load-with-code-conversion("c:/Users/f/.emacs.d/init.el" "c:/xxxxx/.emacs.d/init.el" t t) load("c:/Users/f/.emacs.d/init" noerror nomessage) startup--load-user-init-file(#f(compiled-function () #<bytecode 0xe158b6316c5d54c>) #f(compiled-function () #<bytecode -0x1f3c686ddc0da035>) t) command-line() normal-top-level()```
I looked into the help, the variable exists, it comes with org.el. I looked into org.el and found the variable... I do not understand why I am getting this error.
Any idea? Thx!
Did you check for variable of function? What happens if you evaluate `(org-make-tags-matcher "*")`
Bonjour Nicolas,
I get the same kind of error:
`Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-function org-make-tags-matcher) (org-make-tags-matcher "*") eval((org-make-tags-matcher "*") t) eval-expression((org-make-tags-matcher "*") nil nil 127) funcall-interactively(eval-expression (org-make-tags-matcher "*") nil nil 127) call-interactively(eval-expression nil nil) command-execute(eval-expression)`
I also tried using your config directly: I get the very same error.
I am no specialist in lisp... thanks for your support
Can you try to add `(require 'org)` before?
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I added it right at the beginning of the source block where ```org-make-tags-matcher``` is located, without any luck.
I'll try to add it earlier in the code.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks
Hi, I finally managed to get rid of the error, by adding ```require 'org``` at zhe beginning of the config.
Thanks for the tip, and congrats for your work! Nano-emacs is a gem!
