[newbie] twittering-mode - token problem

Hi! I've just installed twittering-mode on #Debian Unfortunately, I have problem with getting the token. ​ 1. When starting M-x twit it appears "HTTP(SSL) is not available.". I checked the dependencies - I'm sure I have openssl on the system. 2. Trying to authorize, an error appears. 3. Twittering mode hasn't been updated in nearly four years. I wouldn't expect it to work.

Do you have curl on your system? Not sure of wget, but with curl this works just fine for me.

Thanks, I thought curl was default installed with the system. Authorization succeeded, but now it's not fetching my tweets (keeps showing no new ones).

Can you also install openssl?

Installed before. From my *Messages*: Decrypting .twittering-mode.gpg......done The authorized token is loaded. Authorization for the account "xxxxxx" succeeded. What version of Emacs? What's the output of evaluating (require 'json nil t)
