Hey,
I'm currently moving my time tracking to org-mode after already using it for a few years.
So far I've managed ok to transition/integrate org-mode in my caldav workflow.
I found few problems that I have questions on:
1. I've used timestamps such as the one below in some entries however they don't seem to appear in my agenda buffer: `<%%(and (diary-cyclic 14 31 3 2022) (diary-block 31 3 2022 30 3 2022)) 07:00-08:30>` Is there anything that I need to do so that entries using those appear in my agenda?
2. I've then tried to use something like \``<2022-03-31 Do 07:00-08:00 UTC +2w>` that works however if I include -1d to get a notification a day before they agenda doesn't show it for some reason.
3. How does org-mode deal with timezones? I get some calendar invites that contain different timezones.

for (1), have you set this?
```
(setq org-agenda-include-diary t)
```

I tried that but it didn't help.

Recurring stuff: Maybe this is a viable option for you: https://karl-voit.at/2017/01/15/org-clone-subtree-with-time-shift/
Timezones: to my knowledge, there is no specific TZ support in Org-mode. Furthermore, there is only very limited support for sending and receiving invites with GNU/Emacs. E.g., https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/nrukfa/why_you_should_use_emacs_as_an_email_client/h0kfxze/?context=3

I accept my invites from the caldav side through Kontact so that was already covered.
But thanks for the link I was already thinking about doing Email inside Emacs.

I don't think org diary entries support time ranges. You can put a time range into the headline:
* Item 7am-8:30am
SCHEDULED: <%%...>
So long as `org-agenda-search-headline-for-time` is non-nil.

1. Agenda used to support diary timestamps, but not anymore. It is a bug. Pleae report it. See https://orgmode.org/manual/Feedback.html#Feedback
2. Time zones are currently not supported in timestamps. You timestamp is thus malformed leading to all kinds of errors. TZ is one of the frequent feature requests though. But not so easy to implement cleanly...
3. There might be a way. Maybe. Explore `icalendar-import-file` and diaries. Diaries are built-in Emacs thing and are also supported by Org agenda.

That's wrong the org wiki links such a use case:

* 22:00-23:00 The nerd meeting
<%%...
I'm not wrong, this example shows the exact same idea: you can put the time range in the headline, not the diary expression.
Thaodan · 2022-10-15 00:56
The diary expression isn't in the title, it's in the timestamp as I mentioned in my initial post.
globalcandyamnesia · 2022-10-15 01:41
Correct?... Let me try again:
You have <%%... 07:00-08:30> in your diary expression. The 07:00-08:30 is not allowed. You can put it in the headline.

Ah thank make sense now, I'll check.
