help with org-super-agenda-mode

RepresentativeFox684 · 2022-10-12 06:27
Hi there, I just installed and configured org-super-agenda-mode. I'm using it inside `org-agenda-custom-command` Unfortunately this only works if I enable org-super-agenda mode manually after emacs started: M-x org-super-agenda-mode C-c a rd # to open my custom view I really read the documentation telling me to us setq. Here's my code: (setq org-agenda-custom-commands '(("rd" "MyView" ((agenda "" ((org-agenda-span 2) (org-super-agenda-groups '((:name "Today" :time-grid t :date today :todo "TODAY" :scheduled today :order 1) (:discard (:anything t)) )))) (alltodo "" ((org-agenda-overriding-header "") (org-agenda-sorting-strategy '(deadline-up)) (org-super-agenda-groups '((:name "Important" :property "urgent" :order 1) (:name "Überfällig" :deadline past :order 2) (:name "Heute fällig" :deadline today :order 3) (:name "Current Taks" :todo ("InProgress" "INPROGRESS") :order 4) (:name "Next ToDos" :todo ("InputQueue" "INPUTQUEUE") :order 5) (:name "Drafts" :todo "DRAFT" :order 6) )))))) ("inf" "InfAgenda" tags "filename={INFIT}"( (org-agenda-skip-function '(org-agenda-skip-entry-if 'notregexp "\\* InProgress\\|\\* InputQueue\\|* Waiting\\|* DRAFT\\|* ToDo\\|* Backlog\\|* INPUTQUEUE\\|* INPROGRESS")) (org-agenda-sorting-strategy '(deadline-up)) (org-agenda-view-columns-initially t))) ("w" todo "Waiting") ("iq" todo "InputQueue") ("ip" todo "InProgress") ("d" todo "DRAFT") ("y" agenda*) )) How can I get this to work automatically for the custom command "rd".

You need to enable org-super-agenda-mode. Add this to your init to automatically enable it `(org-super-agenda-mode)`

Thank you very much.... I'm stupid. I tried it with `(setq org-super-agenda-mode t)` That did not work. You suggestion works and I learned sth. !

`setq` is to set a variable, since you can activate something via `M-x` means it's a function, and `(org-super-agenda-mode)` is how you call a function.
