I've been creating various playlist buffers using `Emms`, hitting `RET` on a song, and after the song completes, the next song does not automatically play.
I've tried searching for a function/configuration that allows this to happen, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for other people, which suggests that there's something wrong with my configuration. I'm not using `mpd` yet, just a fairly standard setup.
Below is my `Emms` config:
(use-package emms
:ensure t
:defer t
:config
(require 'emms-setup)
(require 'emms-browser)
(emms-all)
(emms-default-players)
(setq emms-source-file-default-directory "~/Music/")
(global-set-key (kbd "C-c m m") 'emms)
(global-set-key (kbd "C-c m ,") 'emms-pause)
(global-set-key (kbd "C-c m .") 'emms-stop)
(global-set-key (kbd "C-c m n") 'emms-next)
(global-set-key (kbd "C-c m r") 'emms-previous) )
**Update**
I think I've fixed this for now. The player that was being used by `Emms` is `mpv`, and it appears the settings in my `mpv.conf` were causing the issue. I removed `(emms-default-players)` and instead am using:
(setq-default emms-player-list '(emms-player-mpv)
emms-player-mpv-environment '("PULSE_PROP_media.role=music")
emms-player-mpv-parameters '("--quiet" "--really-quiet" "--no-config"
"--no-audio-display" "--force-window=no" "--vo=null"))
The `"--no-config"` part is the pertinent change. Hopefully that's that. Thanks for your comments, but if you have any further wisdom to share on this, I'm all ears.
