I have been doing a lot of debugging with GUD lately, and I find myself wishing that the watch variables lived in one of the gdb-many-windows buffers, similar to the breakpoints and locals buffers. The speedbar can be a hassle to work with when I have emacs running fullscreen.
My question really isn't different from this question that was asked six years ago:
[Speedbar in GUD - gdb debugger and watch expressions](https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/5iwwhk/speedbar_in_gud_gdb_debugger_and_watch_expressions/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
but there were no satisfactory answers then, and I'm wondering if that has changed at all. Are there any customizations or packages available that would let me monitor watch variables without requiring the speedbar?
