Shortdoc is fantasti

Hello M-x reddit! Ever wanted to write a function or command, but don't know what the functions for say manipulating buffers or getting file names are called? Version 28 of emacs introduced a new feature called shortdoc. It gives an overview over available elisp functions in a few select categories. Use the command `M-x shortdoc-display-group` and then type in which category you want to view and a buffer pops up giving you a brief overview. Give it a shot. Its great!

It's Awesome! Looks like it'll be useful.

Is there a short screencast or a GIF that shows the feature for people who can't install Emacs 28 yet?

That's extremely useful.

For me, `counsel-M-x` with `ivy-rich` enabled works okay in most cases

Nice, but how did you get the colored function names?

Do you mean the highlighting on Ivy completions? You can [customise the faces of Ivy.](https://oremacs.com/swiper/#faces) To get something like I have in the video do: (custom-set-faces '(ivy-minibuffer-match-face-2 ((t (:foreground "#73f573" :slant italic :underline t)))))

Cool, thanks. Didn't realize that was Ivy at work. :)
