Unicode symbol for retweet

Ideally it should have bi state like the heart symbol in the pic.

Sorry, but these are all horrible suggestions. What is the user supposed to understand from seeing a circle, cloud, star or tulip? How does that afford to them the idea of "reshare this content to my followers"?

I'm not familiar with Emacs's styling support, but you could invert the color, change the fill color, mirror it, surround it with an outline, make it a point larger, use any 'bold' variant a font provides, set it to low contrast opacity initially and then full contrast on taking the action (what Twitter does)...

well, I can't say I disagree. I thought it was a tough problem so I looked for things that might look like pairs of states. Sometimes other people will see something you don't, so first stir the pot. Retwee/reblog is such an abstract concept, even the most obvious symbol that comes to mind (the double arrow icon) only works for people who already know what it means.

it makes me sad that it cant be simpler to do this type of stuff in emacs
