org-timer-set-timer with clock-in

How to use countdown timer with clock-in? I know there is org-pomodoro. But I have some tasks on which I spend 10min or less. So ideally the best way would be -> clock-in when org-timer-set-time starts and clock-out when it stops. I's surprised that's not a default option or I'm missing something?
