The package is now completely reworked and on its way to Melpa. If anyone is interested to try it, I would love to hear about bugs and problems.

- you may find `if-let` and `when-let` useful
- what's the `let*` in `dired-auto-readme--font-lock-fontify-region-fn` for? it looks like doesn't do anything, other than that it's pretty similar to `dired-auto-readme--font-lock-ensure-fn`
- using `when` is more idiomatic when there's no else branch in `if`
