Could the xwidget module be used to embed jupyter widgets in org mode?

I suspect you can't since they're javascript, but if you figure it out I'd be interested!

xwidget provides full browser window inside emacs, it’s capable of running most of things (if not all) you’d expect from browser (including JS and wasm)

I was recently searching for the same, but could not find anything.
I don’t think you’d be able to embed xwidget directly below org’ source code block to make it look exactly like it does in Jupyter in the browser. As far as I know, the text buffer is capable only of displaying text and images, but I’d love to be proven wrong here.
What I imagine being possible is to spawn new emacs window with a new xwidget buffer, and display ipywidget there.

It is possible. See the function shr-tag-video in the master branch but good luck finding a stable enough WebKit version.

Nice, didn’t know that one

Are there any elisp packages that make xwidget more usable?
guachoperez · 2022-09-26 19:59
Btw, youtube videos hang on xwidget. Is this a common problem for ppl on debian?

checkout xwwp (https://github.com/canatella/xwwp), that’s what I’ve been using and it’s decent
Next level is exwm+nyxt
lekkiduchem · 2022-09-26 20:04
Works flawlessly on macOS
guachoperez · 2022-09-26 21:14
Ive been wanting to get into nyxt tbh, but the direction i want to go is more emacs, less everything else

Sorry, I don't use xwidgets.
