After installing magit on my Ubuntu VM, I ran C-x M-g to enable magit, and it has the following error:
Symbol's value as variable is void: project-switch-commands
I am not sure why this would error after first installing it, so I tried uninstalling it by deleting the magit files from \~/.emacs.d/elpa/ and reinstalling, but I get the same error.
Here is the result of debug on error: [https://pastebin.com/KkW9mGdX](https://pastebin.com/KkW9mGdX).

My guess is that Magit assumes a newer version of Emacs.
As Reddit isn't a bugtracker, my suggestion is that you enter a bug at Magit's github page, also specifying your exact Emacs version. Maybe Magit should check if the variable project-switch-commands exists before using it?
Or maybe our version of Magit simply says "use me on Emacs 28". Then use an older version, maybe the one packaged by Ubuntu.
