clipboard yank and put [doom, Linux]

Hello emacs-ers I'm having difficulty with clipboard integration. I use the popularised doom configuration and org-mode for notes, and cannot get clipnoard put / yank working. System is a MS Surface Go, KDE Neon (Plasma 5.25 on an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS base, Wayland session, Emacs running in client mode) I've tried adding: (setq x-select-enable-clipboard t) (setq interprogram-paste-function 'x-cut-buffer-or-selection-value) to config.el and reloading emacs doom/reload but to no avail. I've also read the manpage for using the clipboard, and must confess I don't understand it jk :w

I do use GNU\_Emacs and I have something like this in my dot emacs file (xclip-mode 1) IIRC , I also probably downloaded a xclip package from melpa .... IIRC, I also probably downloaded a xclip package from melpa .... system clipboard in emacs, this is how I made it. Here : https://elpa.gnu.org/packages/xclip.html I have no frigging clue how doom works. Honestly.

I commend you for including so many important details in your issue, though unfortunately I wouldn't know how to solve your problem. I can guess that this is might be problem with Wayland though. The `x-select-enable-clipboard` will probably not help much here. Doesn't Wayland have an X11 server too? I think it was called "XWeston." I would recommend you look into this, it could be that XWeston (or whatever X11 server you might be running for legacy X11 applications like Emacs) may not configured to share the clipboard with legacy applications. You might need to grant Emacs permissions to see the X11 clipboard, or something like that. But I really don't know.
