I'm still running Emacs 27.1. Today I tried to add the lisp interface, slime, to my init.el.
(load "~/quicklisp/slime-helper.el")
Error message tells me there is no "slime-helper.el" in "quicklisp." It's a new copy of "quicklisp."
I've searched the internet, most discussions of this are at least a couple of years old. I downloaded a file, "slime-helper-master" which contains the file "slime-helper.el." I don't know what to do with it. I tried copying the contained files to "quicklisp" and to "slime" directories, but sbcl lisp doesn't recognize them there.
