Is this satire?
shryzr · 2022-09-06 01:27
What makes you say so?

o.O ASMR through a keyboard focused editor. Nice :)

"ASMR" because of the incredibly loud keyboard?
nv-elisp · 2022-09-06 04:03
The bizarre mention of his credentials/gear for a half hour long of video of a man re-typing his config file sans commentary- an activity which requires little skill or computing power and offers little substance.
Combined with the mention of ASMR, it reads like a satire of fetishism.
"Johnson & Johnson LEAD ENGINEER with sexy LOUD keyboard FIGS his Emacs HARD! Rated M1 MAXXX for MATURE!"
I know Reddit has a cultural allergy to criticism, but this "content" is next to worthless if it's earnest.
No offense to the guy who put the video up, but try harder. If you're a lead engineer you certainly have something more valuable to offer the world.
If it is satire, great job. Subscribing.

What I like: Nice production, with bubbles and last command dialogue. Pace is nice too, a bit like slow tv.
What I think can be improved: Full screen of you emacs window and place the bubbles on top. I rather hear what you say instead of your keyboard.

Exactly. Golden rule: show, don’t tell. If you’re so interesting, let your content do the talking, not your credentials.
It’s incredibly cringeworthy.

Lead Engineer, flexing what kind of gear he's using... That's ridiculous.
