As title says, I get the following in every js src block of my org file.
[this highlighting is pretty annoying](https://preview.redd.it/dxpup58zyuk91.png?width=405&format=png&auto=webp&s=40fc8e5dd1c7c688eafec2f260c8df98476d7c27)
This does not happen for example with elisp src blocks. What is happening? Thanks a lot!

Does that also happen when you edit a JS file? I think that Org mode just uses the major mode's fontification for source blocks.
If it's being added by a package that uses a specific face, that might show up if you ask Emacs to describe the character at point (`C-u C-x =`).

Hi! It does not happen when I edit a JS file. Describing the character at point was extremely helpful, I discovered that the problem is given by treesitter, which gives a background color to such characters according to my theme (gruvbox, hence the dark grey), ignoring the source block.I enabled treesitter globally, maybe the quickest solution is to enable it only on prog-mode

EDIT: running tree-sitter and related configs only on prog-mode made the trick. I know it is probably not the ideal solution but I'm not really good at elisp, so at the moment I'm happy with this workaround. Thanks for your answer!
