how can I disable "smart" autocompletion in doom emacs?

I created some latex snippets but when I use any of them doom emacs show me the word first, instead of the snippet. I do not have much experience at configuring doom emacs. Is `company` your completion framework? Maybe you should switch the two backends giving you the suggestions

Yes, it's company, do you know the backend's name of Markdown completion (which I think its the one that appear first)?

I'm sorry, I've always a bit struggled with company backends. However, when you are in markdown mode, you can inspect (`C-h v`) the variable `company-backends` (notice the plural), which should be the list of backends queried, in order. I think that, if you identify the two responsible, and you switch them, you should be fine
