Hi everyone,
I just updated my system to ubuntu 22 LTS and emacs 28, and my \`C-;\` key binding for line commenting is being short-circuited by a system-wide shortcut making a popup window containing the letter 'e' appearing. This shortcut is not listed in the gnome shortcuts, so I really don't know how what it's pointing to and how to disable it... Any ideas?

Thank you a lot in advance for your help!

Maybe an ibus thing. Try to run `ibus-setup`.

There are a ton of duplicates for this. Search more.

Saw them. I've tried modifying ibus keybindings, even uninstalled it which is a bad fix.. But it's (was) still there.

Thanks a lot, that was the one advice I couldn't find in all other posts!

If you don't link or otherwise show the things you've already seen and tried, no one knows.
