Anyone here use `eshell-login-script` or `eshell-rc-script`?
Looks like eshell tends to echo whatever values are there into the shell when starting up. Does anyone know how to turn this off?
Example, I have this in `login` file:
```
(setenv "REDDIT" "EMACS")
```
and this in `profile`:
```
(setenv "REDDIT" "GOPAR")
```
Both values are being echo'd to shell. Initially I thought it was something in my config but it even happens on an empty config emacs.

`C-h v` doesn't give any leads.
Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Just don't use eshell... it's slow and strange

Use sh syntax for setting variables:
export REDDIT="EMACS"

I don't use either but I'm willing to bet that it's because `setenv` returns the value. You could try something like `(progn (setenv "REDDIT" "EMACS") nil)`? Bit hacky though.

Thanks, I was trying to avoid doing something like that though.
Hopefully I can find a way to mix sh and elisp without elisp being echo'd

Gah! I completely forgot that I can use sh syntax. That fixes it for me.
Sad that if I want to use elisp, it'll be echo'd out. Hopefully I can figure out how to fix that, but for now sh syntax works. Thanks!
