The "woman" manual viewing utility is stripping dashes from ranges. Is that a known bug?

I am viewing crontab(5) with `woman` and I notices that the dashes in number ranges are stripped out. My Emacs buiild is 27.1 This is a sample of what is displayed field allowed values ----- -------------- minute 059 hour 023 day of month 131 month 112 (or names, see below) day of week 07 (0 or 7 is Sun, or use names) instead of field allowed values ----- -------------- minute 0-59 hour 0-23 day of month 1-31 month 1-12 (or names, see below) day of week 0-7 (0 or 7 is Sun, or use names) Is it a known thing, or could it just be bug in my system?

so you can't run cron jobs on leap seconds? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

This does not happen on my system. If woman is stripping that couldn't be a bug.

I suggest to check your fonts. Maybe it's trying to display the dash as an Unicode one.

I can reproduce it on Emacs 28.2, both on a vanilla and a Doom installation.

How do I go about this? My font is DejaVu Sans Mono. I get the problem in terminal Emacs as well

I didn't report a bug. But, I think, the source of the issue was [`woman-special-characters`](https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs.git/tree/lisp/woman.el#n2871) lacking mapping.

I take it that I can fix this for myself if I know what lines to add or change in this file?
