I love reading pdf inside emacs, but the annotations don't always appear on other pdf readers.
I'm studying with a pdf book and do the exercises on the pdf itself (inside a highlight's notes usually).
When I'm on out only with the phone, I would like to use foxit, and at home Emacs.
Problem is, foxit doesn't show all annotations that I added in emacs and vice-versa. (And sometimes they delete what they don't see.)
Is there a way to fix this?

this is not an Emacs issue. it happens all the time ...

As a starting point, check what version of pdf-tools you're using. At one point I was using the original author's fork of pdf-tools rather than the more recent/current fork by vedang.

Tried compiling directly from latest release on vedang's github, but the problem persisted :(
As an aside, I'm having also a problem with text annotations: `pdf-info-query: epdfinfo: Unable to create synctex scanner, did you run latex with '--synctex=1' ?` Not sure if this could be related...
For now I'm sticking with the best combinations so far (well, the one that works lol) *masterpdfeditor5* on Debian and foxit on Android. (Edit: text annotations seem to work ok, and also the squiggly underline. I'm trying to see if I can do with both only—so I can read on Emacs:)
Thanks for taking the time to try and help me!
Have a good one!
