So I want to write an Emacs package to export org files to a format used in a website (the syntax is similar to html, but much more simple).
I have some experience writing my own function in Elisp before, but I don't know where to start writing a package.

Maybe [https://orgmode.org/worg/dev/org-export-reference.html](https://orgmode.org/worg/dev/org-export-reference.html) could be a useful starting point, even though it is not an introduction.

Give an example of what the export format looks like and what data you want exported.
funk443 · 2022-08-10 23:17
It looks like this.
[div]this is a line[/div]
[div]this is a new line[/div]
[div][b]this line is bold[/b][/div]
[div][i]this line is italic[/i][/div]
[div][url=http://gnu.org]this line has a link[/url][/div]
[div][h1][size=6]this line is title[/size][/h1][/div]

Thanks, this seems to suit my need :)
itistheblurstoftimes · 2022-08-10 23:40
What about heading data? Outline level, planning, properties, code blocks, etc.?
From what you have here it looks like you'd start with org-export.
funk443 · 2022-08-11 00:29
Alright I'll go check org-export, thanks for the advice!

Looks like bbcode, from back in the day.
