I was using general.el for a little while before deciding to use the "standard" way to define prefix maps with my leader key, SPC, as the prefix key.

That looked useful but I haven't tried it out because of the big warning at the top of the readme saying it's not maintained. Does it work well for you?

I also use [iedit](https://github.com/syl20bnr/evil-iedit-state). Have it in my config from back when I migrated from Spacemacs to a personal brew.
