Hi,
just to start with, i see myself as rookie on the emacs platform - started to use emacs because org-mode, then terminale, then buffers for build/edit configs for network equipment.
now the time is for mu4e and im already loving the way i can easily control my mailbox and add them to my org-aganda.. i only see myself using emacs more and more in the future.
my question is: when i forward a email containing picture or other files - my mu is stripping my mail for these file - what im a missing, is that normal behavior or have i configured my mu4e wrong?
if needed i can post the config.

How are you trying to do forwarding? Pressing `F` when viewing the email you want to forward? If so, that works for me (i.e. attachments aren't stripped). i'm running mu 1.6.10.

Also works for me, using 'F' on a message header.

running mu 1.6.8 here on macos.
i use `F` for forwarding and yes attached files was in the forward, files like calendar, spreadsheets, PDF etc.
is it correct that screenshots paste into the body of the sender mail is not forwarded? i can see the screenshot in mu4e when i open them, but they are just start where the screenshot is when they are sent.

or is that pretty normal ?

Hm, i'm not sure i follow .... i don't ever send HTML email, and only ever put files at the end of an email. So i've never tested what happens if i add a file with either disposition 'attachment' or disposition 'inline' in the middle of a text-only email, sorry.

sorry i might be explaining it wrong ;)
the problem is when i receive mails from my customers.
where they are sending via MS outlook, in outlook you are able to paste picture from PC's memory directly into the body of the composing mail.
when i receive the mail, i have no problem with open the mail in mu4e and see the attached/paste picture, like the mail are sent, but if i want to forward the mail as-it the forwarded mail will be stripped for the pictures and replaced with \*

Ah i see.
Well, i just trying using `F` on an email with an inline image being displayed in `mu4e-view-mode` (which has `gnus-article-mode` as its parent mode). What happens for me is that, in the draft message, the location of the image in the email body is replaced with the name of the file of the iamge, and the image file itself is an attachment at the end of the draft.
