What's keeping you from using dired as your primary file manager?

I'd like to just mouse click on a file to open it in an external program. And maybe right click to get a context menu like Windows Explorer offers with things like other programs, etc.

It keeps opening a million buffers and i don't know how to set up fast file previews with img/vid thumb previews I tried dirvish but it is really slow
