That will come in handy. Thanks. Would be nice to also have a way to set printer-specific options, as in `lpoptions -d <printer> -l` to override default ones per job.

Wonderful! This had been on my to-do list to write. Now I don't have to!

I tried using `lpoptions` before, but it never worked on my network printers. This is why I actually implemented this transient menu. The options are retained by pressing `C-c C-s` and using `savehist` to save options across sessions. The problem is that there seems to be too many options to create a generic transient menu. Also, is `lpoptions` that frequently used to need an Emacs treatment? In any case, I put it on my list of issues in `lp-transient`.

Thanks glad you liked it. This has been sitting in my config file for months, so I really should have released it sooner. I also have several features implemented in my config files on `notmuch`, `org-mode`, `magit` and `AUCTeX`. I plan to package and release those when I have the time. I also have an ever-expanding Emacs to-do list so I wish there was a way to know if others had already solved my problems in their config files :)

I gave up on printing on my Windows PC, and just c/p the text into Notepad++. Shameful, but true.

I don't use Windows, so I can't offer much help. But I found [this](https://superuser.com/a/1616067) which should be easy to adapt in a similar way to \`lp-transient\` to provide an Emacs interface that prints files in Windows (assuming PowerShell is usable from within Emacs).

That's useful, thank you! MELPA it and you're my hero :)

Thanks. I plan to do that next week after I incorporate a pull-request that improves the package. I also want to rename the package to allow the addition of future programs (Personally, I want to implement a transient menu for \`find\`).
