Sadly that's a newer MacBook only feature. (And you have to set it up in the keyboard macOS settings)

Ah yes. Good shout-out. Some of us miss out on it from Emacs if `(setq mac-command-modifier 'meta)`.

Last time I checked there simply wasn't the option to set fn to anything.
