My `init.el` has only one line:
(set-face-attribute 'isearch nil :font "Helvetica")
To reproduce the issue, run:
emacs -q -l init.el
Then press like this to zoom:`C-x C-= = = = =`
Then do isearch like this: `C-s GNU`
The highlighted text "GNU" appears to be small in comparison with the surrounding zoomed text. I am using mac by the way.

Are you able to reproduce this? How to resolve this so that the isearch highlighted text also grows in size as the buffer is zoomed?

`C-x C-+` maybe? I.e. press `Shift` and `=`

`C-x C-=` behaves exactly the same as `C-x C-+`, so how would `C-x C-+` help?
Do this:
emacs -q
Then press:
C-h k C-x C-=
What do you see? Do you see this?
C-x C-= runs the command text-scale-adjust (found in global-map),
which is an autoloaded interactive compiled Lisp function in
‘face-remap.el’.
It is bound to s-0, s-=, s-+, s--, C-x C-0, C-x C-=, C-x C--, C-x C-+.
(text-scale-adjust INC)
Since `C-x C-=` and `C-x C-+` are bound to the same function, I don't see how `C-x C-+` is going to help. I did test `C-x C-+` and it reproduces exactly the same issue in my post.
Were you able to reproduce my issue? Did `C-x C-+` resolve the issue for you?

`(custom-set-faces '(isearch ((t :family "Helvetica"))))`
