What's the keyboard?

Thank you very much! Did you make it yourself or buy pre-made?

I soldered it myself. Bought a crkbd kit, nice!nano Bluetooth enabled controllers, and a 3D printed case online (there are many vendors). Not hard to solder if you leave out the per-key LEDs.

Oh, boy. I was just thinking today that it would be nice to have a way to mess with my Org-roam files in a proper Emacs instance while on public transit. This is pretty tempting, though I'd only want to use the touchscreen. How comfortable is it?

The on-screen keyboard is comparable to a basic android keyboard for typing, and it has all the additional keys like Ctrl, alt, tab, and so on.
There are many different Linux distributions and user interfaces, with different trade-offs regarding what doesn't work as well as one would hope. For instance, I tried a couple different Linux distributions, and on some of the most popular ones I couldn't get the Alt key to work as Meta in Emacs GUI.
My biggest annoyance with this setup right now is that displaying images within Emacs on the phone screen is not great, because I can't scroll smoothly through them or zoom in or out. But maybe that can be configured somehow.
Generally I find it very nice to have a proper Emacs instance with all its text editing capabilities, dired, magit, etc. on a phone.
