I want to link additional topics to the search terms by adding links to the answer if the item is linked with other related terms.
For instance I search for `setq` the answer is appended with links to `set`, `setf`, `fset` etc.
`defalias` should link to `defvaralias` etc.

Isn't this what [Wilfred/helpful](https://github.com/Wilfred/helpful) does to an extent?

It should already do this in Emacs 28, but it's not exhaustive. For instance `mapconcat` hyperlinks to `list` and `strings` in `shortdoc-display-group`, Emacs's reference card / cheat sheet system:

This doesn't seem like it allows you to add the related functions and variables to the group. For instance if I do a search for the function `symbol`, I want `intern`, `symbol-value`, `symbol-plist`, `symbol-p`, `make-symbol` to appear on the info page with short docstrings for `symbol`, so I can click on them to learn or remember more.
Functions like `eql`, `eq`, `equals-p`, `string-equal` etc should be another group, so the info page for one of them quickly leads to the related functions. It is rather surprising that after so many years Emacs info system doesn't have something like this, where related functions and variables are listed on the same page. For instance the web documentation for `plist-put` has info on `plist-get`, `plist-member`, `lax-plist-put` and `lax-plist-get`, but describe-function for `plist-put` displays it alone without any links to the others.
I just need a tool that would enable me to add these functions, so if displayed the describe-function for one of them, a list of the others would be displayed at the bottom of the info, or in a separate window below. So the 'advice' would simply run the usual describe-function, and place another window below it with the links to the others.
`helpful` doesn't do this.
PS. Is there some quick way to close a helpful window with the `q` key. I'm having to resort to `C-x k` to kill its windows.

Is it close to what I've described on https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/w9c847/can_the_display_of_describefunction/ihuvfzz/.
I'm still on Emacs 27 though.

Right, I just thought it may be a good starting point for you.

Hitting `q` works for me. I don't have any helpful specific configuration to achieve this but I do have `help-window-select` set to `t`.
