Middle mouse button scroll (without scroll wheel) - possible?

I have a three button mouse. With some programs you can hold the middle button (button 2) and move the mouse around to scroll (instead of using the mouse wheel). Is it possible to configure this in Emacs? I figure the answer is yes, because it's Emacs, but after a fair amount of searching I haven't found anything.

[Yes](https://codeberg.org/ideasman42/emacs-scroll-on-drag). If you're running Xorg, you can also configure your input device to use the "button" ScrollMethod, which works across every program, not just Emacs.

Can you please tell what three button mouse are you using? Thanks. If you're using a Lucid build, then you can drag the scrollbar with button 2 to scroll by large increments.

[This](https://www.amazon.com/ELECOM-Japan-Brand-BlueLED-Symmetrical-M-CAD01UBBK/dp/B07W5CXW6M/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=3+button+mouse&qid=1658933202&sr=8-4). Works fine but I'd recommend something better if you have the budget. It's very lightweight so it doesn't always stay put when you let it go (e.g. if the cord is bunched up).

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I think this mouse came up in the 9fans discussion as well. Searched for it in my country's Amazon and as I expected, it is ridiculously expensive :/ Edit: It is frustrating to see how these so-called gaming mouse are much cheaper (16% of the 3 button mouse).
