I have decided to use Emacs as my Editor of Choice for Life. I have been dabbling in both vim and Emacs for last two three years. I am convinced that Emacs suits me more than vim. My job also do not require me to be fluent in unix standard vi/vim. So, I do not have any compulsion to stick with vim.
Currently, I am using i3 Window manager with my keyboard keys remapped using Dual-function Keys. I have Caps Lock Key remapped to Esc on Tap and Mod Key on Hold. I have also swapped Ctrl and Alt Keys with each other. So, my Ctrl Keys are adjacent to the Space Bar Key.
I am thinking of remapping Caps Lock Key to Meta Key but it will lose me a frequently used hotkey in my i3 WM. Now, I am in conundrum what to do ahead. I know about EXWM but it is slow for my daily work.
I will welcome every idea how should i remap my keyboard so that i can use Emacs without compromising on my Tiling Window based workflow.
My Keyboard is standard US QWERTY Keyboard.
