Good point. Seconds. As returned by built-in benchmark.

Looks interesting. Are there any plans on a migration tool from org-roam to Vulpea? Without a simple migration path, I'm pretty well locked in, now that I have an significant number of notes already written and indexed with org-roam. Does org-roam-ui work with Vulpea?

Vulpea is not a replacement for org-roam per se. It is built on top of org-roam and both can be used simultaneously. Hence, org-roam-ui also works. I'd say there are 3 categories of Vulpea users. - Application or library writers that would enjoy APIs provides by Vulpea. They are consistent, well tested[^1], high-level (e.g. you don't need to understand org-roam internals to use them) and still quite performant. - Users of my other works (vino, task management with org-roam, publicatorg, etc). - Interactive users of insert/find/select functions that have easy filtering capabilities and performance. When I say performance, I vaguely mean responsiveness on 10k+ set of notes. There are no universal solutions here, but Vulpea provides means to deal/workaround this situation with little API sacrifices. I found myself in such situation because I use org for task and knowledge management at the same time. [^1] it's not a joke, compare org-roam tests and vulpea tests. Not to brag or insult anyone, but this really helped me during migration to org roam v2. Read more here: https://d12frosted.io/posts/2021-06-11-path-to-org-roam-v2.html

I just want to say that you are using the worst possible font to show numbers
d20frosted · 2022-07-15 15:09
Oh yes. I want to rework this site, fonts included.

TIL; really interesting! Somewhat naive question: How does this approach of querying SQL tables compare with running queries on a graph database (presumably stored under the hood as some triple store plus indexes) as Logseq does with datascript? Not just performance wise, but also with generality of queries.

I am not familiar with Logseq implementation. Need to investigate. Thanks for the pointer to idea to discover :)
